- Professional technical skills from surveying, checking drawings, quantities of materials, road construction, drainage and ensuring accuracy of calculations and measurements needed for structural integrity;
- Provide day to day management on the construction site;
- Provide experienced professional technical advice to any construction issue or problem that may arise from day to day;
- Price and control choice of materials as per drawings or as per client request to be used on the project;
- Plan work with Gantt chart to be done and organize things so that deadlines are met;
- Provide weekly/monthly reports as to the progress of the works done;
- Liaise between contractor, owner and client, architect, other engineers on any issue as it pertains to the construction;
- Design of structures including concrete and/or steel buildings single story or multi-story, bridges, roads (both flexible and rigid), concrete slabs, prestressed beams, corbels, roof structures (both concrete and steel), swimming pools, pile foundations, pad foundations, piers, retaining walls, footings, water tanks both elevated and below ground, etc.
- Asses and analyze existing structures or systems that may have issues and resolve them using sound engineering practices. This can be from structural roof problems, major cracking, settlement, water leakages, road problems, flooding, etcetera just to name a few.
- Analyze existing structure to put on addition of a floor, roof, or an extension.
